The Book Bingo 2024 prompts are here!
Plus what to expect from this newsletter {hint: It's for much more than the book bingo!}
Dear reader,
There’s a buzz and tingle in the air. A crackling of magics. Of newness. And of nostalgia and reflection too. It’s time for reflection, for rejuvenation, for bidding goodbye and saying hello. The most magical of months — December!
Which means it is also time for me to unveil a whole new set of prompts for the 2024 Book Bingo reading challenge! And to tell you about a few changes to this here newsletter.
As you may have undoubtedly noticed, things got wobbly since I decided to split the newsletter into two, for which I do apologize. It also gives me good feedback, though, so I’m planning a few changes in how I structure these going forward.
I will continue to share book recommendations based on this year’s Book Bingo prompts. I’ll also tell you about the books I’ve read during the month, and since I tend to read a lot more than 25 books a year, my reading lists won’t be limited to the prompts! There will also be fun little extras, like some bookish quotes sprinkled through the newsletter and a poem of the month {because we could all do with a bit of poetry in our lives!}.
I’ll also be sending out 2-3 special editions through the year with seasonal or themed recommendations or a bookish deep dive on a book that captured my attention. Think quotes from the book, curated author interviews, articles, and reviews from around the internet.
I will also open up recommendation threads from time to time so you can share some of your favorite reads with the rest of the Reader’s Nook community.
I hope you enjoyed the challenge this year, and that you will join me again next year! Check out the prompts + all the details of the challenge on my website.
Please invite your book loving friends to join us. You can send them a link to the Book Bingo 2024 post or forward this e-mail and ask them to join in on the fun. If you’re reading this within the Substack app, please consider restacking this post to Notes. Let’s gather all the book nerds together!
I’ll see you back here next year. Until then, wish you and your loved ones a beautiful holiday season!
xx,
Shinjini
